May I remind readers that unfunded index pensions in the USA has generated significant unfunded liabilities. Talk about fiscal responsibility or lack of.

Future Funds are set up to fund the liabilities The pensions of service personell are hardly going to break the federal budget. Maybe handing out $900 checks to every one is more fiscally responsible? These peoples' pensions are falling behind AWOTE service to country at least deserves that don't you think?
So, in equity terms I assume the Coalition will also be extending this overdue reform to retired Australian Public Service staff?
